I was a dispatcher for over 16 years for the Cass County Sheriffs Office. I witnessed administration dictate to myself and other employees that the citizens and communities deserved a different level of service and protection based on who they were or where they live. The citizens of Cass county deserve a sheriff that will serve and protect everyone equally. Many opportunities have been missed due to current administration at the sheriffs office refusing to help out other agencies and causing conflicts with other agencies. Many employees leave the sheriffs office, myself included, due to the lack of leadership, the unfair treatment by administration to certain employees, and the lack of equipment and training. I believe Robert Sorenson will strive to make the necessary changes for the citizens of Cass county as well as the employees of the Sheriffs Office.
